I'm a student teacher in a 1st grade classroom for the month and I've been in there for 2 weeks now...and wow I'm exhausted. It's so much fun but seriously a lot of work. It feels like more discipline than learning...I hate that. Now I know that if you let kids loose they will not listen to you so you got to have structure, routines, a discipline plan and all those things I don't like about the whole school thing but now I realize they really are essential. :(
